A Miracle on Eretz Israel
The reason I am posting this message is to hopefully give those who read this
message faith in God and in giving you faith in good strengthening as a
believer of the stories of the Torah also in sharing my faith with you I hope
you will be stronger and more enduring in life to be good and not evil. Please
understand that I am by far not perfect in the sense of associating being well
with perfection but I do feel at present I'm in a state of good more than I
have ever been before in my life other than when I experienced the miracle I'm
about to relate to you.
So with that written I will pass on my story again on this Sabbath Day of the
Jewish Holiday of Sukkot in the Hebrew year of 5765 on the 17th day of the
month of Tishrei and in the Gregorian year 2004 on the 2nd day of October.
I can remember being on Eretz Israel during the Jewish years of 5738/39/ & 40
and in the corresponding Gregorian Years of 1978 & 1979. I was working as
cook's helper at a Youth Hostel in Tel-Aviv, Eretz Israel at Rehov 32 Beni Dan.
The Hostel was managed by Shlomo & Tamar Argaman and their children Yosef,
Yonkilin and Ronit. Besides being the manager of the Youth Hostel Shlomo was a
reserve infantry officer with the rank of Captain in the Israeli Army.
At various times while working at the Youth Hostel I would feel in my soul what
is termed in Hebrew as a "Ruach Hachayah" a moving spirit. At these times I
would leave the Youth Hostel and walk the Land of Israel.
During the particular time the miracle occurred I had left the Hostel with the
intent of walking to Tiberiah, Eretz Israel. I left Tel-Aviv and found myself
in a village called Taiyiba just south of Tulkarm also on Eretz Israel. I
entered a store to by food but when I discovered the labeling on the cans of
food was in Arabic I choose not to make any purchases as I tried only to eat
food labeled in Hebrew.
As I was walking out of the store a truck full of Israeli soldiers pulled up
next to me and an officer from the soldiers approached me and began searching
my backpack and asking me questions. He seemed to be under the impression that
I had entered the sore to by illegal drugs. As I was explaining to him that I
had entered the store to purchase provisions he found the Israeli Tannach
(Bible) in my backpack Captain Shlomo Argaman had given me to study from while
I was back packing.
The officer asked me if I wanted to go through the village. I was for that
idea and I climbed into the back of the truck and the soldiers pointed a
machine gun out the back of the truck and together we drove back and fourth
through the village.
Finally the truck pulled up next to a small hill (these hills are called Tels)
next to the village and the officer told me I could camp there but not to go
through the village again especially alone since it was an Arab village and
could be dangerous for me.
So I hiked to the top of the small Tel and unrolled my sleeping bag, ate dinner
and at dusk got inside of my sleeping bag and began enjoying the relatively
warm night.
As darkness overcame the day I noticed a shooting star descend from heaven. I
also could hear an Arabic voice over the load speakers in the village below
calling the Muslims to prayer. That's when I remembered what happened to me in
New York when I was making Aliyah to Israel for the first time on 27/28
February 1978. A large group of Jews in black coats with beards and peahs were
singing and dancing in the El-Al Israel airline terminal singing the name
Yahweh, Yahweh, Yahweh over and over again while dancing in a circle called a
hora in the terminal. Remembering that occurrence I began singing Yahweh,
Yahweh, Yahweh over and over again loud so the Arabs in the village below could
hear me as I figured since they were singing to their God I would sing to mine.
And that's when the miracle began to occur. It was dark and while lying in my
sleeping bag singing the name of God that is Yahweh over and over again. I
noticed directly in front of me and above the ground a small light began to
emanate and it continued to emanate and grow in size until it was occupying the
space in front of me in the air of about the size of a oval about 4 by 5 or 6
feet. There was no likeness of a human being whatsoever it was just an oval
light. Upon seeing the light I new a miracle was occurring and since the light
lit up the whole top of the Tel I thought the people in the village below would
surly be coming up to the top of the Tel to see what was happening. When I
looked to the edges of the top of the Tel I noticed a round cloud encircling
the whole top edge of the Tel.
I wasn't exactly sure what to do. At that time my Hebrew was not fluent so I
got out of my sleeping bag and went down on my knees in laughter as I was
amazed and dumbfounded that a miracle could be happening to me. I began to
pray in English for a few minutes and then I got back in my sleeping bag and
the light dissipated alone with the clouds. At no time did I hear a voice
other than my own while I was praying. In other words the light did not speak
to me.
The next day I hiked back to Tel-Aviv and related my story to Captain Argaman.
And the reason I am posting this story to this newsgroup is so when people read
this story they will believe that there is a God of Israel that appears in the
light as is said to have appeared in the Torah. I'm concluding from this
miracle that what is written in the Torah is true and I'm sharing that faith
with you, because the God that appeared to me as a light on Eretz Israel has
been my Savoir, Redeemer, Deliverer, Healer and King to this very day and I
hope that my faith will help you when you pray to also have faith as God does
hear and act upon our prayers.
With that I sign off with a Hag Sameach,
Happy Holidays and Good Shabbat,
Shalom Amen Selah,
